exhibition poster, done as a paper cut out, this ancient folk art technique has its great come back lately, here you see a typical chinese red-on-white style. the exhibition is said to be good, we'll see soon. if your interested in chinese paper cuts, heres the link.

i like the crazy doodle illustration. somehow it goes well with this retro/stencil/army(?) font.

i think i like the yellow one better. the king and queen idea is just, well, too british ;) but its nicely done though.

now, you may not see it, but it was done with a gold pantone, so it really looked good for its theme, a rare thing for a gold print to be cool ;)

well, on my way home (18:05) I jumped into the Coningsby Gallery, and was the first viewer of the INKTHIS 2 (link for those who want to investigate further, its wort it) :D its nice to work just outside Goodge Street ;) below you will find my quick selection of the best stuff, some names are quite well known, some of the project as well, like the computer arts covers, some not so much, so there is a chance you dont know every single each one of them.

smth from the latest vodafone campaigne, this one is simply cute, there are some others better done, will try to get them all here.

its not perfect, but still a typo experiment is always good ;) theres a whole series of it, but I find the rest of it not so well done, primitive 3d that tries to look good, but doesnt.

well, here is another guardian, and a little typography thingy I spotted in a gallery near my office. both are a good examples of the current take on ornament, quite different from each other, I guess I prefer the simplicity of the guardian one, but its sometimes nice to let the eye get lost in a more traditional way.

one great architect through the eyes of another, havent been there yet, but still, the poster is quite nice, isnt in ? regular B1 size, on the walls of the tube stations corridors. I quite like the aalto name typography, and the fact that shigeru ban is half hidden. waiting to get to the exhibition.

I think I like the zipper (fact/opinion) one most, the mice are nice as a composition, and the volume one is quite funny, but the zipper one has smth that a nice poster should have - a good balance between the graphics and the content, when the other two go strongly to the graphic side.

morning.

we are a couple of designers, im a graphic designer, my partner is an architect. we`re currently London based, surrounded by many projects in both fields we think are worth showing, so we decided to take this opportunity and start a blog. we are going to show you stuff we see on the streets, just as we rush through the city. enjoy and feel free to comment.
